1 sm. pkg. chopped dates
2 c. sugar
1 c. Pet milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook to soft ball stage; sugar, dates, milk and butter. Remove from heat, add nuts and vanilla. Beat until thick. Roll in damp towel. Let set. Slice when firm.
