GRANDMA'S DATE LOAF CANDY 
3 c. sugar
3 c. canned milk
1 pkg. chopped dates (8 oz.)
1 c. nuts

Dissolve milk and sugar over low heat until it clouds in water. Add dates and cook to soft ball stage; remove from heat. Add nuts and beat until creamy. Pour over cool wet cloth (cotton) and shape into loaf. When cool, slice.
