1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 tsp. salt
2 c. sifted flour
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter, shortening, sugar and egg. Stir in vanilla, salt and flour. Put mixture into a 15 x 10 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Spread morsels over mixture when it comes from oven. Spread chocolate out when it melts. Sprinkle with nuts and cut into squares.
