OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
1 c. light brown sugar
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. milk
1 egg
Raisins

Set oven at 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheets.

Sift the flour, baking powder, the salt and the 2 spices together. Add the oats onto the flour. (Be sure that they are quick-cooking oats.) Add brown sugar and oil and milk. Don't stir yet. Add egg. Now, mix. Add raisins, if you want.

Scoop a teaspoonful of batter into greased cookie sheet. The cookies will spread. Leave plenty of room around each one. Bake for 10 or 12 minutes.
