CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS | |
1 box devil's food cake mix 21 oz. can cherry pie filling 1 tsp. almond extract 2 eggs, beaten FROSTING: 1 c. sugar 5 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. milk 1 c. chopped pecans 6 oz. chocolate chips Heat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour 13"x9"x2" pan. Combine cake mix, pie filling, extract and eggs. Stir together gently. Pour into pan and bake 25 to 30 minutes. In small pan combine sugar, butter and milk. Bring to boil and boil 1 minute. Stirring constantly, remove from heat, stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Pour over warm cake. Cool. Cut into bars. |
