CABBAGE AND NOODLES 
1 head green cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 pkg. egg noodles
6-8 slices bacon
Sour cream
Black pepper, coarsely ground
A little water

Fry bacon, drain and set aside.

Drain off all but 2 to 3 tablespoons bacon fat from pan, add cabbage, cook until soft and translucent. Add water, cover, and simmer until cabbage is tender. Don't over cook!

Cook noodles as package directs. Drain. Combine noodles with cabbage, add crumbled bacon. Stir in 3 tablespoons (or more) sour cream, pepper, stir and simmer a few minutes for flavors to blend.
