1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. milk
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheet. Combine Crisco, sugar and milk in bowl. Beat with mixer until well blended. Beat in egg and vanilla. Beat until blended. Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Mix into creamed mixture until just blended. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until set.
