GRACE'S WHITE COOKIES 
5 lb. flour
2 lb. sugar
1 lb. Crisco
1 dozen eggs
1 (8 oz.) can baking powder
1 qt. milk
2 lemon rinds with juice

Mix flour, sugar, Crisco, and baking powder as a pie crust. Beat eggs and milk together with 11 tablespoons vanilla. Fold into dry ingredients. Chill dough overnight.

Take a piece of dough and design as a long pretzel. Roll and twist it. Do not roll it too thick. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown on bottom.

ICING:

Mix 2 1/2 boxes powdered sugar with water and make like medium paste. Add colors of your choice along with some anisette.
