PEAR HARLEQUIN JAM 
8 c. peeled and diced pears
6 c. sugar
1 (8 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
Grated peel and juice of 1 orange
Grated peel and juice of 1 lemon
1 sm. jar maraschino cherries

Combine pears, sugar, pineapple, grated orange peel and juice, and grated lemon peel and juice. Let stand overnight. Next day, simmer fruit mixture slowly, stirring from time to time, until thick. Takes about 1 hour.

Add diced maraschino cherries and juice. Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal. Makes approximately 6 half pints.
