GINGER SNAPS 
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. molasses
1 egg
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
Sugar

1. Cream butter and sugar well. Add molasses and egg and mix well.

2. Gradually blend in dry ingredients which have been sifted together.

3. Fill cookie press. Form cookies on ungreased cookie sheets, holding press in semi-horizontal position. Sprinkle them with sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

4. Remove at once to cooling racks. Yield: 7 dozen.
