NEVER FAIL TOLL HOUSE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda in 1 tsp. hot water
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
6 oz. chocolate chips

Cream shortening, sugars and eggs. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Bake at 350-375 degrees for 15 minutes.
