MICROWAVE CARROTS 
1 lb. carrots, cut in 1/2" diagonal slices
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar

Place in 1 quart casserole dish and cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 9 to 11 minutes. Stir occasionally. Mix together 2 tablespoons cold water, 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch and 1/4 cup chopped pecans. Add to carrots and stir. Microwave on high 2 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serves 4 to 6.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
