VIENNESE BROWNIES 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. almond extract
2 (1 oz.) square unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Sliced almonds

Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, egg and almond extract. Melt chocolate and butter. Cool. Beat 2 eggs, add sugar to eggs and chocolate mixture. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to chocolate mixture and mix well. Pour half of chocolate batter into greased 8-inch square pan. Spread with cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining batter. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
