POTATO - NOODLE SOUP | |
1 qt. plus 2/3 c. milk, divided 3 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. salt 2 c. boiling water 2 c. instant mashed potato flakes 2 c. noodles, cooked 1/4 c. green onions and tops, sliced 4 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled Add 2/3 cup milk, butter and salt to boiling water in large saucepan. Add potato flakes; mix well. Add 1 quart milk slowly, mixing until smooth. Add noodles and heat until hot. Serve in heated bowls. Garnish with onions and bacon. Add a pat of butter and sprinkling of pepper, if desired. |
