CHOCOLATE SHEATH CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 stick butter
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

ICING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. Pet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar

Mix flour and sugar in a large bowl and set aside. In small saucepan, mix and bring to a boil gradually butter, cocoa, water, and oil. Pour over flour and sugar mixture and add eggs, buttermilk, soda, and vanilla; mix thoroughly. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 12 inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes (do not overbake).

Icing can be prepared while cake is baking. In medium saucepan, mix butter, cocoa, and Pet milk; bring to a gradual boil. Add box of powdered sugar and stir thoroughly and add vanilla. Pour over cake after about 5 minutes after baking.

This is my children's favorite cake recipe. They have a decorated birthday cake for their parties but we always have this cake for their family birthday gathering.
