CHRISTMAS FRUITCAKE COOKIES 
2 c. butter (softened)
3 c. sugar
4 eggs
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 (8 oz.) pkg. dates
3 c. pecans
1 (8 oz.) pineapple, chopped
1 (8 oz.) cherries

Cream butter gradually add sugar beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Combine flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon gradually add to creamed mixture beating well after each addition.

Stir in the remaining ingredients. On greased cookie sheets, bake at 375 degrees for 13 minutes. Cool on sheet 1 minute.
