CHRISTMAS CHERRY COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
36 red or green candied cherries
Powdered sugar

Cream butter and sugar, beating well. Add flour, pecans, and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; press cherry in center of each cookie. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool slightly. Roll in powdered sugar and let cool.
