ITALIAN DATE CAKE 
4 eggs
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. chopped dates
1 c. chopped nuts

Bake in 9x13x2 inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Let cool. Cut into squares. Cover with confectioners' sugar.
