CABBAGE CHOWDER 
4 c. coarsely shredded cabbage
2 c. sliced carrots
3 c. diced potatoes
3 c. water
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 c. scalded milk
2 tbsp. butter

Cook vegetables and seasonings in water until tender. Add scalded milk and butter. Serve with crackers.
