BUTTERMILK PIE 
3 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. plain flour
6 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sticks butter
3 unbaked pie shells

Blend together sugar, flour, salt and eggs. Stir just enough to blend eggs and ingredients together. Add buttermilk, vanilla and stir until blended. Do not overbeat. Add melted butter. Stir quickly and pour in pie shells. Bake 40 to 60 minutes.
