SUNSET BUTTER COOKIES 
2 c. butter (may be half butter)
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar; add vanilla. Blend in flour gradually. Shape into four rolls 1 1/2 inch diameter. Roll in colored sugar (red and green) on waxed paper. Wrap each roll separately in Saran Wrap. Refrigerate overnight. Let dough stand at room temperature a few minutes before slicing into 1/4 inch slices. Bake on ungreased sheet 12-15 minutes at 375 degrees. Cookies bake very light colored. Makes approximately 125 cookies.
