PASTA FAZOLI | |
1 lb. great northern beans 1 (35 oz.) can tomatoes in puree 1 lb. ziti 1/2 c. oil 2 stalks celery, diced 1 med. onion, diced 2 cloves garlic, chopped Parsley Basil Salt & pepper Wash beans, bring to boil for a minute or so. Let soak for 2 to 3 hours. Saute onion and garlic in oil, add crushed tomatoes and cook for about 10 minutes, then add the beans. Add diced celery, parsley, basil and salt and pepper to taste. Cook until beans are tender. Add more water if needed to make it thinner. Cook ziti and add to bean mixture. |
