CHOCOLATE TOFFEE BARS 
Crust:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. softened butter

Mix ingredients. Press into a 13 x 9 ungreased pan.

Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes.

Topping:

1 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 - 6 oz semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Combine ingredients. Pour over crust, spread evenly.

Bake at 375°F for 13 to 18 minutes until center is set. Cool 1 hour.

Makes 36 bars.
