PEACH PRESERVES 
6 lbs. ripe peaches, unpeeled
3 lbs. sugar
1/4 c. water

Sprinkle sugar over peaches and then pour water over sugar. Cook very slowly to avoid scorching, about 3 or 4 hours. Put in jars while hot and seal. Makes about 6 pints. Put in hot water bath for 10 minutes.
