PEACH PRESERVES 
9 c. peaches, sliced
3/4 c. water
6 c. sugar

Cook peaches in water for 5 minutes on low heat. Drain juice into large pan, add sugar. Boil until syrup spins a thread. Add peaches and cook rapidly 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 24 hours.
