MEXICALI MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground round
5 tbsp. chopped onion
2 tbsp. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. yellow cornmeal
1 tsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. tomatoes
1/4 c. shortening

Combine meat, onion, green pepper, cornmeal, seasonings, milk and egg. Blend thoroughly. Form into 12 balls, roll in flour and brown in hot shortening. Add remaining flour and tomatoes, cover and bake in 450 degree oven for 35 minutes.
