CHEDDAR PEAR PIE 
6 large pears, peeled and sliced
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 (9-inch) pie shell (unbaked)

Topping:

1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 c. melted butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar

In a bowl, combine pears, sugar, cornstarch and salt. Pour into pastry pie shell.

Combine topping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over filling.

Bake at 425°F for 25 to 35 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve warm.
