EARLY AMERICAN PEAR PIE | |
6 c. firm pears, pared & sliced 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. flour 1 1/3 tbsp. butter Pastry for 9 inch 2 crust pie Mix pears with sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and flour. Spoon mixture into pastry lined pie pan. Dot filling with butter. Cover with top crust. Cut slits into crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes until browned and bubbly. |
