BANANA WHEAT BREAD 
Very good, healthy and a way to use overipe bananas

Melt:

1/2 c. butter

Add:

1 c. sugar

Mix in:

2 beaten eggs
1 c. mashed banana (about 3)

Sift:

1 c. white flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Stir in:

1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. wheat germ

Add dry ingredients to egg mixture with 1/3 cup hot water.

Stir in:

1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. raisins

Pour into greased 9x5 loaf pan. Bake 325 degrees for 1 hour 10 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when stuck in center of loaf. Cool 10 minutes in pan and then turn out on rack to finish cooling.
