KATIE'S STRAWBERRY DESSERT 
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. sugar
A pinch of salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced frozen strawberries, thawed or 1 pt. sliced fresh strawberries
1 pt. whipping cream, whipped
1 angel food cake

Add 1 1/4 cups boiling water to the gelatin. Stir until dissolved. Add the sugar and salt. Add the sliced strawberries. Place in the refrigerator to thicken.

Whip the whipping cream. Add the whipped cream to the thickened gelatin mixture.

Break the angel food cake in bite size pieces. Place a layer in the bottom of a pretty glass serving bowl. Spoon a layer of the whipped cream-gelatin mixture over the angel food cake. Layer alternately until both are used up. Return to refrigerator to chill. Garnish with sliced strawberries. Serves 6-8.
