RAISIN-NUT COOKIE 
2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. walnuts
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice

Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes; drain. Let stand. Cream sugar and butter; add eggs and beat well. Add vanilla and raisins. Sift in dry ingredients and blend well. Add nuts. Chill overnight. Drop by teaspoon on well-greased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes in 400 degree oven.
