1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Granulated sugar
1 (19 oz.) chocolate kisses

Heat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl combine 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar, shortening and peanut butter until creamy. Add egg, milk, vanilla, blend well. Mix in flour, soda and salt. Roll into 1 inch ball, then roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes. As soon as they come out of oven press chocolate kiss in center of each cookie. Cool.
