1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (16 oz.) pkg. chocolate Kisses, peeled and refrigerated until needed

Mix together first 7 ingredients, cream together well. Add flour, soda and salt. Form into balls and roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Do not press down cookies before baking.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees. When removed from oven immediately place a chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie, then remove cookie from cookie sheet to cool.
