SAUSAGE-KLUSKI SKILLET DISH | |
1 lb. bulk sausage 1 c. onion, chopped 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped 10 oz. canned tomatoes 1/2 c. water 1/2 c. sharp cheese, grated 8 oz. Kluski egg noodles, cooked and drained In a heavy skillet, over medium heat, brown sausage, breaking up meat with a fork as it cooks. Drain off most of the fat and stir in onion and green pepper. Cook 4 minutes, until onion is golden. Add tomatoes and water. Cover and simmer over low heat for 25 minutes. Stir several times while cooking. Add cheese and mix until melted. Add any seasonings to taste. Combine with cooked noodles, mix well and serve immediately. Serve 5. |
