IRENE'S BEEF CHOWDER 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 med. onion, chopped
1/2 bell pepper
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. water
4 c. homogenized milk
3/4 tsp. lemon pepper
3 c. grated potatoes
10 oz. pkg. frozen corn
10 oz. pkg. frozen limas
3 1/2 oz. jar dried beef, cut into 1-inch strips
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery salt

Saute bell peppers and onion in butter. Stir in flour; cook and stir 1 minute. Add 1 1/2 cups water gradually as you stir. Stir in potatoes, corn, limas, dried beef, salt and pepper along with celery salt. Heat until boiling.

Lower heat and simmer until vegetables are done, about 30 minutes. Stir in milk and bring to boil. Shut off heat. Serve very warm.
