APPLE PIE BARS 
CRUST:

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 c. shortening

Mix as for pie crust, moisten with 1 egg and enough milk to make 2/3 cup. Roll half of dough and pat on cookie sheet. Pat little bit of flour on dough. Slice peeled apples to cover. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and a little flour. Roll out rest of dough and cover apples. Make a few slits on top. Bake until apples are done.
