PECAN CHESS BARS 
Crust:

1 1/4 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. chopped pecans

In a mixing bowl, combine first 3 ingredients. Beat at low speed until crumbly. Stir in pecans, press into the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 12 inch dish.

Bake at 325°F for 15 to 20 minutes until edges are browned.

Filling:

1 c. brown sugar packed
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. melted butter
2 eggs
2 tbsp. honey or white syrup

Meanwhile, combine all of the filling ingredients and pour over the hot partially baked crust.

Continue baking 20 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
