BUTTER HORN - HOT ROLLS 
2 pkgs. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
5 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs

Soften yeast in the warm water. Scald milk; add sugar, salt and shortening. Cool this to lukewarm, add 2 cups flour. Beat well. Add yeast and beaten eggs and mix well. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead until smooth. Let raise about 1 1/2 hours. Then knead down. Divide in half roll and cut into pie shapes. Brush with melted butter and roll up. let raise double. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
