MILKY WAY® CAKE | |
5 MILKY WAY® bars 2 c. sugar 2 1/2 c. flour 1 c. buttermilk (or 1 tsp. cider vinegar to 1 c. regular milk, letting set 5 minutes) 2 tsp. vanilla 2 sticks butter 4 eggs 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. chopped nuts Melt candy bars and 1/2 butter (1 stick) in top of double boiler. Mix well until smooth, set aside. Cream sugar and remaining butter, add eggs one at a time, beating until smooth. Add flour, buttermilk and soda, mixing well. Add candy mixture, vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 40 minutes at 325 degrees. COOL. FROSTING: 3 MILKY WAY® bars 1 tsp. vanilla 1 stick butter 2 c. powdered sugar Melt candy bars and butter in double boiler, add vanilla and sugar and blend until smooth. Frost cake. |
