CHOCOLATE NO EGG CAKE 
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. cocoa
2/3 c. Crisco oil
4 tbsp. cider vinegar
4 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. cold water

Mix ingredients well. Pour into ungreased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes. Cool cake and top with glossy frosting.

GLOSSY FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
4 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. boiling water
2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate, cut into pieces
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Add boiling water, chocolate and salt. Bring to boil. Remove and add butter and vanilla. Pour over cake while frosting is still hot.
