1 egg
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk (secret to success)
1/2 c. melted shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Drop egg from shell into mixing bowl and cover with ingredients as they are listed. Beat until mixed and bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes in a greased 9 x 9 inch square pan.
