BREAD PUDDING 
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
4 c. day old bread or cake cubes, 1/2 inch
1/4 c. raisins

Beat into eggs the sugar, milk and nutmeg. Butter a 1 1/2 quart baking dish; put bread or cake cubes into dish and pour mixture over bread; let stand until bread is thoroughly soaked; mix in the raisins; bake at 350 degrees for about 25 to 30 minutes; serve warm. Serves 4 to 6.
