CHEESE AND CABBAGE BAKE 
1 med. head cabbage, shredded
5 tbsp. butter, melted and divided
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
Dash of red pepper (optional)
1 1/2 c. milk, warm
1 c. sharp Cheddar, grated
1 c. bread crumbs

Cook cabbage in boiling water 10 minutes. Drain. Melt 3 tbsp. butter. Add flour, salt and pepper. Stir until smooth. Slowly add milk. Stir to thicken. Add cheese and blend.

Mix bread crumbs with 2 tbsp. butter. Layer in greased casserole, cabbage, sauce, crumbs (repeat). Bake 350 degrees 30 minutes.
