SWISS CHEESE POPPY SEED BREAD 
1 loaf sour dough French bread
1 lg. onion, minced
1/2 to 3/4 lb. butter
1 lb. Swiss cheese
1 sm. jar poppy seeds

Saute onion in butter and add poppy seeds. Cut bread into slices but not all the way through. Put slice of cheese between each slice of bread. Spoon poppy seed mixture into each slice. Wrap loaf securely with foil and bake at 325 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.
