VENISON STROGANOFF 
1 lb. venison steak, cut into long thin strips
1 tbsp. flour
Salt and pepper
1 onion
1 c. tomato juice
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. sugar
1 can mushrooms
1/2 c. sour cream

Dredge meat with flour and salt and pepper. Brown lightly in fat with the onion. Add tomato juice, water, sugar. Simmer until tender. Ten minutes before serving. Add mushrooms, sour cream. Serves 4.
