1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. milk

HALF: (Serves 6)
4 heaping tbsp. Crisco
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/4 c. milk

Sift dry ingredients and add Crisco. Mix until it looks like meal. Beat egg. Add milk to egg. Mix this into dry ingredients (sticky dough). Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. This is great for strawberry shortcake.
