BUBBLE BREAD 
1 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt

Mix the above ingredients together. Cool to lukewarm, then crumble into the mixture, 2 beaten eggs 4 1/2 c. flour

Mix to soft dough. Turn out on a floured board. Knead until smooth and not sticky. Place in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and let set for 10 minutes.

While dough is setting, combine the ingredients below in a bowl. 1 tbsp. sugar 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional

Make dough into small balls about the size of a walnut. Roll each ball in butter, then into the sugar mixture. Then place in greased angel food cake pan in staggered rows and layers until all dough is used.

Let rise again, then bake in 350 degree oven about 45 minutes. Turn out on board or plate and pull off luscious mouthwatering pieces one by one.
