RED VELVET CAKE 
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 oz. red food coloring
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. white vinegar

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs. Sift together flour, salt and cocoa. Add alternately to creamed mixture with buttermilk. Add vanilla, food coloring and soda dissolved in white vinegar. Bake at 350 degrees in 2 (9") pans for 30 to 35 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. Wondra flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
Pinch of salt

Cook milk and flour until thick. Cream well the sugar, Crisco and salt. Add milk and flour mixture. Beat well. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Spread on cake, sprinkle with Angel Flake Coconut.
