RED VELVET POUND CAKE 
3 c. sifted plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. Crisco
7 eggs
3 c. sugar
3 oz. red food coloring
7 oz. milk
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients. Alternately add milk and dry ingredients. Add food coloring and vanilla. Pour into well-greased and floured tube pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:

1 box powdered sugar
1 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream ingredients together and frost cake. Sprinkle with nuts on top.
