RED VELVET POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. Crisco
2 sticks butter
5 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3 c. cake flour
Pinch of salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 oz. red food coloring

Cream sugar, Crisco and butter. Add eggs. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well and bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours in greased tube pan.

ICING:

1 box confectioners sugar
1 stick butter, softened
2 egg whites, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well and ice cake.
